Personal

Apart from improving mathematics education, I am also a big fan of mountain hiking and traveling around the world. I will be impressed if you can figure out where the picture underneath was taken! I also love reading, typically ‘magical realism’ such as The Little Prince.

On a more personal note, I am also proud to say I am autistic. With a public declaration of a neurodivergent identity I hope to break the stigma for around 3% of the population. Being autistic influences every project I undertake, both negatively and positively. You can find out more what it means to be on the spectrum on for example this link.

My mom has Parkinson’s

And she has found enormous support in exercising with fellow patients. That’s why she’s about to embark on a journey to climb mountains, both literally in Peru and figuratively. A journey to prove to the world that even with Parkinson’s, you still have a lot of potential!

To support my mom, I will be walking alongside her: 60 kilometres in one go along the Belgian coast! You can sponsor my trip via the link below. Your contribution will be used to pay for my mom’s medical support on the trip and to support research into the causes of Parkinson’s.
